Sugden A21SE Pure Class 'A' Integrated Amplifier
The A21SE is a further expansion of the musical performance available from the Sugden single ended Class A output circuitry. Designed to provide more power output, greater speaker compatibility and a larger sound stage, it is not an uprated A21 Series 2 but a definitive amplifier in its own right.
The A21SE contains a pre-amp stage with high input impedance, high voltage gain, low noise, wide bandwidth, low distortion and low impedance to drive the Class 'A' power stages. This pre-amp stage coupled to a fifty percent increase in the low impedance power supply enables a very dynamic sound stage to be developed with pin point imaging and fine tonal balance. An amplifier of unforced spontaneity which will satisfy the most discerning enthusiast with ‘Simply More Music’.
The A21SE is a line level input integrated amplifier without an integrated phono stage option. There are the optional Sugden Stage One and Stage Two phono amplifiers available.

Sugden A21SE Pure Class 'A' Integrated Amplifier internal view. Dual mono configuration for power amplifier stages and separate pre-amplifier. Robust toroidal transformer with separate windings for each power amplifier and pre-amplifier.
Sugden A21SE Special Edition Pure Class 'A' Integrated Amplifier, Titanium finish. The A21SE is capable of producing music in its most natural and organic form. Free from crossover distortion, power can be delivered smoothly without the high frequency ‘pain’ associated with so many transistor amplifiers.
Sugden A21SE Stage Two MM/MC Phono Amplifier
The A21SE Stage Two is designed and hand-made in England. The A21SE Stage Two offers true high-end phono amplification in a compact, heavy weight, minimalist two box design. Separating the amplification from the power supply helps reduce interference and increase resistance to pick-up noise.

Sugden Fusion 21 Precision Compact Disc Player
The new Fusion CD player is the result of nearly twenty five years development of Sugden digital products. Sugden's latest player combines modern digital technology with unique Sugden design criteria dedicated to high quality audio performance. The heart of the Fusion 21 player is a precision 'CD Engine' comprising of a very accurate loader/laser assembly driven by custom software. The interconnected front-end board (servo) is capable of short term data storage through its on board memory, made possible by the CD disc running at a higher speed than conventional CD mechanisms.
The buffered output from the servo is passed to a dedicated digital interface transceiver. An external high quality master clock allows low jitter recovery of S/PDIF through the high performance internal PLL. The transceiver is also able to clean up (de-jitter) the received digital audio signals. The data signal is re-formatted and the output status bits are selected before being sent to the multi-bit digital to analogue converter (DAC). This method of signal processing has made both over sampling and digital filtering redundant. The analogue signal from the DAC then passes through a current to voltage converter (trans-impedance amplifier) using circuits chosen and developed specifically for their performance and sound quality. To remove any serious audible noise produced in the digital domain, an analogue 55K post filter is incorporated prior to the signal reaching the final pure Class 'A' analogue output stage.
To expand the possibilities of digital playback, the Fusion 21 CD player is also capable of acting as a high quality stand-alone digital to analogue converter. When in Standby mode the S/PDIF coaxial input is activated allowing replay of an externally connected digital source.
